Mr. Roy Hanif is Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer.

The firm specializing in ‘Interim Sales and Business Development Services’ was initially set-up in the early 80s at the heart of California’s booming Silicon Valley. Roy Hanif one of the founders moved to the UK after the Tech bubble burst in 2002 and set-up a management company to continue to offer similar services. Trading as Inflection Point Limited (“IPL”) the firm was set-up to bring US-style Sales and Business Development Services to Europe and the other fast growing economies. IPL was initially organised with 40 trusted interim executives working as partners and associates, in mainly the Tech arena. However, since then many new markets have been tackled successfully, including all parts of central government, financial services and funds, security services and military, major pharmaceuticals, clean-tech, real estate, marine and media.

Prior to founding IPL, Roy spent nearly 20 years in Silicon Valley at High Impact Interim and Board-level commercial roles at fast growing Tech companies that included; Siemens, Ingres, ASK, CA, Oracle Corporation, PeopleSoft and Cisco Systems. Working as corporate-entrepreneur to set-up and lead multiple sales organisations, it was possible to capture successful sales and marketing techniques that repeatedly delivered results. The learning’s over dozens of assignments were refined to create a sales and business development tool-set called ‘Springboard’, this tool-set was re-named and expanded with decision-support-software to create the methodology ‘Decision Support Science ‘DSS’ which has been at the centre of IPL’s success since 2002.

Roy holds a Masters’ Degree in Global Affairs and Contemporary Issues from Winchester University in England, a Degree in International Business and Finance, and a Professional Diploma from the Charter Institute of Marketing in England. Roy has numerous sales achievement awards. He’s a Practitioner in Prince2 and MSP and holds DV security clearance from HMT. Roy has successfully led numerous sales and business development assignments throughout the world. He initially trained as an electronic and electro-mechanical designer and also spent some time in the British Army. Roy also occasionally lectures on commercial affairs and business development, is a business mentor and is often a guest speaker at international private equity and venture capital events.

To remove any doubt of our abilities, IPL’s team consists of highly-experienced and qualified partners, all with the highest levels of project and programmme management qualifications ‘Prince2’ and most with top secret level of security clearance ‘DV'. While our partners lead the sales and business development assignments, each project is also supplemented by young experienced MBA graduates from top universities such as; HEC Paris, Stanford, MIT, DC Tuck, Cranfield, CASS, LBS and Manchester. Assignments last 6-18 months, and since they are on the front-line there is considerable risk and some of our fees are often contingent on success. Our focus is clear; selling relies on driving deal flow, building long-range pipeline and closing contracts. Over 90% is repeat business and it comes from our trusted business leaders, major investors and investment firms that count on our unique style of selling. The firm has successfully delivered over forty high profile interim assignments working closely with business leaders, investors, family offices, funds, and private equity and venture capital firms.
